Mark qualified from the Royal Veterinary College, London, in 1984 and has had a varied career in farm veterinary work. He started in mixed practice (Lancashire) and then purely farm practice (Sussex) before doing veterinary investigation work at SAC Auchincruive. He subsequently acted as a veterinary consultant for Pfizer Animal Health (now Zoetis) before returning to farm practice with MBM Veterinary Group in 2011.

He has always worked mainly with cattle and is interested in all aspects of cattle health and production particularly fertility, mastitis control and abomasal surgery. He is an RCVS Recognised Specialist in Cattle Health and Production. 

Mark is married with three grown up children. Outside work, he is interested in wildlife, walking his dogs, koi carp, going on holiday, trimming hedges, chopping wood, cutting grass, digging holes… any task that keeps him in the fresh air!
