Having been a keeper of animals from a young age (dogs, ponies and sheep), a strong interest in science and natural history led Katy to vet school in Glasgow. Graduating in 1996, she took her first job as a small animal vet with us, when the Kilmarnock practice was known as McKenzie, Bryson & Marshall, and has remained with us since then.
She gained her RCVS Certificate in Veterinary Cardiology in 2002 and takes referrals at our Kilmarnock surgery from other vet practices in Ayrshire and southwest Scotland.
Being a mum-of-two means that spare time is a rare treat, but she enjoys travelling, photography, art, nature, reading, wildlife gardening and walking with her Labrador, Bella.
